  • Software Engineers

    We are looking for talented software engineers to work in our expanding software department to help design and create new software solutions. Our software development group is a team of highly skilled software engineers. You will help the group develop the next generation of Formula 1 data analysis and simulation tools and guide the direction of projects with your knowledge and enthusiasm.

    The successful candidate will be experienced in developing and deploying complex software systems, possess strong analytical and communication skills and be able to work in a group of highly motivated engineers under strict time constraints. Experience with C#, WPF, Visual Studio 2012 and .NET 4.5 is essential.

  • Software Developer

    Sahara Force India Formula One Team are currently looking for an enthusiastic software developer to fill an exciting position within the CFD group.

    Relying on a high level of automation, the CFD process is critical to the speed and quality of the car's aerodynamic development and benefits from constant maintenance and improvement. The full process is a combination of a web framework and services built on a background of scripts driving commercial, open source and in house software.

    Working closely with all the members of the CFD group and reporting to the Head of CFD, the successful candidate will be expected to excel in a problem-solving environment, developing applications, tools and methods to bind and continually improve the entire CFD process.

    Practical experience of development languages such as Python, JavaScript/jQuery and SQL in a Linux environment and a proven background in bringing practical solutions to problems are pre-requisites for this position. Experience in technologies such as Git, Qt and distributed computing would be a distinct advantage.

    Experience in CFD is not essential, but a desire to learn, understand and contribute is paramount.

  • Control Systems Track Support Technician

    You will be required to provide track support for the electrical/electronic systems fitted to the car and the associated support equipment. This will involve assisting in the installation of electrical components, configuring/calibrating the chassis related control and data acquisition systems, monitoring them to ensure their correct operation and carrying out any necessary fault diagnosis.

    You will work closely with the engineers to optimise the systems set up and be involved in developing the processes and tools for system configuration, data analysis, etc. The successful candidate will have experience in the development of electrical/electronic systems ideally in an automotive or aerospace environment and of providing field support for them.

  • Pattern Maker

    Working within our Pattern Shop you will be responsible for the manufacture and finish of full size and scale model patterns, jigs and components to a high level of accuracy.

    You will need the ability to read and understand drawings and have a very flexible attitude to work. Programming in Catia and experience in operating a 5 axis CNC machines would be advantageous. This position will be a fixed shift (Day, Evening, Nights or a weekend shift) minimum 40 hours a week.

Each year we endeavour to provide one-week and two-week work experience placements to school pupils from Years 9 or 10. The placements are only available to applicants that demonstrate a genuine interest in motorsport engineering and production.

Applications for our 2014 Work Experience programme will open in the spring.

We are committed to 2 year apprenticeship schemes in the team commencing in the Autumn of each year and applications are open to Banbury & Bicester College students only.
