Racing Point Force India is delighted to bring Macauley Vineyard to the Formula One paddock as its official supplier of red and white wine.
The celebrated vintner hailing from Napa Valley, California, has been producing award winning wines since reviving the Macauley family brand in 2001 with the aim to make extraordinary wines.
Macauley red and white vintages will be served to guests in the Racing Point Force India hospitality at races, with the deal providing the team with California’s finest wines for the next two years.
Otmar Szafnauer, Team Principal and CEO of Racing Point Force India: “There are actually lot of similarities between Formula One and winemaking: both are limited-production, high-performance activities where hard work and knowhow bring rewards. In this regard, our brands share a lot of common values and we cannot wait to introduce our Grand Prix guests to the wines of Macauley.”
Mac Watson, Proprietor of Macauley Vineyard: "The preferred wine of adventurers, every Macauley bottle carries the motto of clan Macauley, Dulce Periculum, or "Sweet Danger." We are proud to partner with Racing Point Force India as they seek to be successful at the highest level of motorsport.”
About Macauley Vineyard
This exclusive vintner in Napa Valley, California, has been garnering accolades for its limited releases and the highest possible ratings from reviewers. Proprietor Mac Watson and winemaker Kirk Venge have one goal in mind: to make collectible wines of extraordinary depth and personality.
The focus at Macauley is to source fruit from such elite vineyards as Beckstoffer To Kalon - originally planted in 1868, and managed by the legendary Andy Beckstoffer - to the famed Baciagalupi Vineyard in Sonoma whose grapes took home the top prize for Chardonnay in the hallowed “Judgement of Paris.” These are literally the grapes that put California wines on the map.
As famed reviewer Robert Parker puts it, "Production is limited, but these wines merit attention.”
