Sahara Force India’s decision to open the doors to its headquarters has given fans a unique opportunity to go behind the scenes in the normally-secretive world of Formula One.
Since the start of the team’s popular Factory Tour programme, more than 150 fans from as far afield as Australia, New Zealand and Canada have discovered how the VJM10 cars are built and serviced. As the guests wander through the hallowed corridors of the brick-and-glass factory on the doorstep of Silverstone Circuit, a world of wonder opens – one that isn’t behind sterile glass, but one they can touch, smell and experience first-hand.
For what makes a Sahara Force India factory tour special is the opportunity to meet the people behind the scenes and really experience what Formula One is about. It’s the chance to be alongside technicians as they test the reliability of parts, to pick up tyres and experience their sheer weight, try a wheel gun or observe a world-class driver in the simulator – nothing gets you closer to the action. Particularly lucky guests have bumped into our drivers or senior management – a unique chance to ask them a question or pose for a photo.
Our factory tours are accessible and enjoyable to all, regardless of age (with a minimum age of eight), technical knowledge or driving experience and are available for individuals or groups.
Tours are available most weeks of the year; for information, please contact Rachel Moroney at email@example.com
Reviews from happy visitors:
I found the tour to be amazing! It was much more involved than I ever anticipated. The employees were so friendly and open. It was a highlight of my England trip and something that I have been bragging about to friends and colleagues for months. I've encouraged everyone I know to take the time to get out to Silverstone and see the factory. Thank you.”
