"I am happy I was able to get in the points in Bahrain and I hope we can continue to improve. The point was a great reward for everyone in the team as we have all been pushing hard since Australia. We still lacked a bit of pace compared to our direct rivals in Bahrain, but we are heading in the right direction and, most importantly, we know what we need to improve. We have new bits on the car here in China so hopefully we can make another step forward - I guess we'll see on Friday.
"Last year the car was working well here so I hope it's going to be the same this year. The midfield battle is very close so everything is possible - I feel a tenth of a second can make a big difference. There is no secret to be fast here: you need to trust the car, build your confidence from Friday and have a clean weekend. I am curious about the strategies we will see on Sunday. It is a big step from UltraSoft to Soft, so there could be some variety."
"Bahrain was a frustrating weekend for me, but I am happy of what we have shown there. We are closing the gap, as we saw in qualifying, so we hope we can make one more step and be more competitive here. There is plenty of potential we haven't extracted from our package yet, so we need to figure it out to close in on our rivals.
"We have a couple of new parts on the car to work with this weekend, which hopefully will mean more performance for the car. This track is a lot of fun with this new generation of cars and the battle in the midfield is very close, so it should be a fun race. The competition throughout the whole season will be great and hopefully soon we will be the ones at the front of the midfield."
