Free practice 3 – German GP

Our final practice session of the German Grand Prix weekend was a slightly frustrating affair. Tonio Liuzzi completed his run programme, but was caught behind the HRT car of Sakon Yamamoto on his potentially fastest lap and only recorded the 17th quickest time of the hour. Adrian Sutil unfortunately did not set a time after a driveshaft problem developed on his first lap after the installation lap.

The one hour session started wet after a heavy shower, with Tonio going out for his installation lap on the extreme wet tyres. When the rain finished and a dry line emerged he was however able to get in some running on the hard and the supersoft tyre compounds, completing 22 laps in total.
