The Force India F1 Team started its British Grand Prix preparations at the new-look Silverstone circuit today as the first of the three practice sessions got underway. Local hero Paul di Resta, driving an F1 car on his home soil for the first time since 2007, got some solid laps under his belt, completing 22 laps with an impressive 14th quickest time.
Being more familiar with the demands of the 5.901km track, Adrian Sutil made just two runs over the 90 minute session, establishing a strong baseline set-up for the weekend. His quickest lap was a promising fifth quickest.
