Adrian Sutil and Tonio Liuzzi again put in a strong performance in the final free practice ahead of qualifying. Tonio secured the ninth quickest time while Adrian was just behind in 11th. With the track slippery and debris-laden from the earlier support races both drivers did not make their initial baseline runs until midway through the session to allow the track to clean.
After runs on the harder Bridgestone Potenza tyres the pair then switched back to the option tyres for the final run. Tonio completed 11 laps while Adrian put in 13.
Fernando Alonso was the quickest runner of the session ahead of Nico Rosberg and Mark Webber.
