This is an incredibly varied design role that requires you to work on the construction of CAD concept surface, wind tunnel model and mechanical projects.

Working from within one of our development groups, you will be responsible for delivering a myriad of schemes and designs. You will develop these designs into complete parametric surface models that can be assessed using our latest CFD tools. You will then progress these designs into component form and fitment onto our wind tunnel model for subsequent testing. In addition, you will also be exposed to designing full size race car testing projects.

You will make a direct contribution to our development and performance with your successful designs forming a key part of our continued successful progress.

In addition, you will also be encouraged to partake in developing department tools and processes whilst also mentoring and developing Jnr staff members.


Successful candidates will possess exceptional communication and organisational skills whilst also being dynamic and above all flexible. You will also be able to demonstrate strong mechanical appreciation as well having strong relevant production engineering experience. You must be able to thrive in a fast paced team working environment.


Skills & Requirements:

You will be qualified to HND / Degree level or served an Apprenticeship in a relevant discipline.

Possess prior relevant workplace experience in either Product, Industrial, Automotive or Mechanical design.

Be a strong communicator and be able to demonstrate an excellent understanding which will assist with the delivery of conceptual parametric CAD surface designs.

Be familiar with GD & T and have experience creating component detailed drawings to a defined standard, such as BS 8888.

Be familiar with precision and AM manufacturing processes.

Be able to demonstrate an ability to be highly creative with a dynamic and original approach to problem solving. Strong visual skills are essential.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate extensive CAD skills and have prior experience in a Surfacing based role, preferably using Catia V6
